The Building Construction Process Explained

If you want to learn about the construction process and the steps that are taken to complete a project, you should read my blog. My name is Darren White and I've always been fascinated by the way that a construction crew can erect a building so fast. I work in an industrial park and there's always new buildings being built and I see the progress every day. A few months ago, I was at a neighborhood picnic and I started talking to a neighbor that lived down the street. It just so happened that he was a contractor that worked on the buildings in the industrial park. I asked him how the construction crew could build a huge building so quickly and he explained the whole process to me. That's when I had the idea to write a blog to explain the building process to others who are also interested.

The Psychology of Color: Understanding Why Paint Color Choices Are a Massive Business Decision

by Edwin Johnston

Did you know that there is such a thing as color psychology, or the study of how certain hues and shades of color can affect human behavior? If you are like most commercial business owners, you might never give this a thought, even when you are choosing the color of paint for your building. Having the exterior of a business building painted is actually one of the single most impacting things you can do to alter onlookers' perceptions, so learning a little about color psychology is highly important before you randomly choose a color because you believe it will look good. There are a few facts you should know about color psychology to help you choose a paint color that works best for your business.

Some paint colors are directly related to certain businesses.

There are colors that are immediately associated with particular business types in the eyes of a customer. For example, shades of blue and white are often associated with medical offices, hospitals, or other healthcare facilities. Think carefully about your business and business product and make sure the paint color you choose is directly relational to it. The last thing you want to do is pick a certain color or collaboration of colors and convey the wrong message accidentally.

Some specific colors are used as a form of marketing because they evoke certain emotions.

When businesses are developing marketing campaigns, color is a big decision. This is because color can be used to influence and trigger certain emotions. The same idea goes with the color of paint you choose for the exterior of your business. The perfect example is the usual blue tones that show up around medical facilities. This color conveys a feeling of comfort and relaxation, which is always important in a healthcare setting.

How you should go about picking a new paint color for your business exterior.

Using color psychology and working with a skilled and experienced industrial painting company is the key to ensuring you end up with a paint color that works well for your place of business. A good industrial painting company is familiar with color psychology and can make recommendations. Take the psychology of color into consideration, do your research on what colors convey particular messages and emotions, and work from there. In the end, picking the right paint color is less about aesthetic appeal of that particular hue and more about the hidden message the color sends.

When you're ready to paint your building, or if you have more questions about color choices, talk to a business like APC Services of New England.
