The Building Construction Process Explained

If you want to learn about the construction process and the steps that are taken to complete a project, you should read my blog. My name is Darren White and I've always been fascinated by the way that a construction crew can erect a building so fast. I work in an industrial park and there's always new buildings being built and I see the progress every day. A few months ago, I was at a neighborhood picnic and I started talking to a neighbor that lived down the street. It just so happened that he was a contractor that worked on the buildings in the industrial park. I asked him how the construction crew could build a huge building so quickly and he explained the whole process to me. That's when I had the idea to write a blog to explain the building process to others who are also interested.

Use A Hydroseeder To Evenly Spread Grass Seed, Fertilizer, And Mulch Over Your Property

by Edwin Johnston

If you have recently moved into a home that is located on a piece of property that does not have any grass growing on it, spread an even layer of seeds, fertilizer, and mulch over it with a hydroseeder. Within a few weeks, new blades of grass will be growing across your property. Continue to care for the lawn by watering it when dry weather conditions are present. Soon, you will have an attractive yard to enjoy spending time in. Here's what you need to do:

  • rake
  • wheelbarrow
  • hydroseeder
  • grass seed
  • water hose
  • fertilizer
  • mulch
  • soapy water
  • sponge
  • sprinkler

Remove Debris And Rake The Property

Remove sticks and rocks from the ground, and place them in a wheelbarrow so that they can easily be removed from the areas where you will be planting grass seed. Rake the ground to assist with loosening the dirt that is near its surface. The seeds will burrow down into the depressions that were made by the rake's tines, helping them to take root. The water that is added to the hydroseeder will drain quickly in the depressions after you spray the property.

Fill The Hydroseeder's Tank

You can purchase hydroseeders from suppliers like Bark Blowers & Hydroseeding Inc. Once you have your own equipment, press the lever that releases the tank from the hydroseeder. Add water to the tank until it reaches the bottom of the agitating blades. Read the back of the container that the grass seed came in to determine how much fertilizer and mulch needs to be added to it. Add the grass seed, fertilizer and mulch to the tank. Reattach the tank and turn on the agitator to mix the contents. After the contents are an even consistency, they are ready to be added to your property.

Spray The Contents In The Hydroseeder

Carry the hydroseeder to one corner of your yard. Turn the machine on and point the nozzle toward the ground. Hold the tip of the nozzle several inches away from the ground's surface so that you can clearly see the mixture as it is being added. Squeeze the trigger to release the mixture. Drag the hydroseeder behind you as you cover the property in straight lines. After the ground has been covered, clean out the hydroseeder's tank with soapy water, a sponge, and a water hose.

Water The Lawn As Needed

Add water to the lawn with a hose or sprinkler when the weather conditions are dry. Within a few weeks, healthy blades of grass will emerge from the ground. Continue to water the lawn as needed. Soon, you will have an attractive piece of property to spend time relaxing when you are outdoors.
